With the opening of Waterfowl Season this weekend, the 2016 – 2017 Mississippi Hunting Seasons will be in full swing. Our state has been noted by several outdoor studies as one of the top locations for hunting and fishing in the United States. These honors have not come easily, have taken time, and have only occurred due the massive efforts of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and private land owner efforts in managing the habitat and wildlife to optimize outdoor activities in our great state.
